Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of busy OR experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details
• Position is in a hospital OR setting within a high-volume surgical department
• Performs a variety of surgeries including open heart, medical, and orthopedic procedures
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 15:15 with rotating weekends and holiday coverage
• On-call required: one night every two weeks and one weekend every six weeks
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience in a busy OR environment
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Primary source verification of professional license and/or certification required if applicable

Additional Information
• All agency staff are required to participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
• The surgical department handles a wide range of complex cases, including cardiovascular and orthopedic surgeries
• Must be able to work extended hours based on surgical caseload
• Team-oriented environment with expectations for flexibility during high-volume periods
• Rotating weekends and holiday participation is mandatory
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
