FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to provide services to our Edmonton area clients. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll work on engines, generators, and related equipment, handling everything from troubleshooting and repairs to commissioning and maintenance. If you like autonomy, variety, and being out in the field — this is that role.

What you’ll be doing
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and natural gas engines and generators
Complete startups, commissioning, calibrations, and load bank testing
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Perform overhauls and repairs on engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
Deliver strong customer service in the field and build relationships
Complete service reports, timesheets, and required documentation accurately
Maintain service truck, tools, and equipment
Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours service
What you bring
Journeyperson certification (HET, Millwright, Automotive, Electrician, or equivalent)
Minimum 3+ years of field service experience in power generation, gas compression, or similar
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
Experience with generators, engines, and related systems
Self-starter who can work independently in the field
Strong communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and travel as required
Salary
