Director of Faith Formation / Sunday School Teacher (Part-Time)
First Congregational Church of Stamford, CT.
Schedule: 15-20 hours/week (flexible, occasional evenings & seasonal events)
Reports to: Lead Pastor/Director

We are seeking a passionate and relationship-focused leader to guide faith formation for children, youth, and families. This role offers the opportunity to create meaningful spiritual experiences, build strong connections, and foster a welcoming and growing church community.
What You’ll Do
Lead engaging, age-appropriate Scripture lessons and faith experiences
Nurture spiritual growth through mentorship, prayer, and connection
Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
Develop and adapt programs that meet the evolving community needs.
Recruit, equip, and support volunteers and families.
Collaborate with church staff and maintain clear, consistent communication
What We’re Looking For
Passion for faith formation and working with children and families
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Creative, flexible, and collaborative approach
Ability to build relationships and foster a sense of belonging
Preferred: Experience in ministry, education, or community engagement; background in theology or religious education
