Media Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a pioneering leader in global media technology, is seeking a Media Engineer II.

Position Summary:

Media Engineers in this organization are responsible for advancing the capabilities and flexibility of content acquisition, production, and distribution on a global scale. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software systems that support consumer-facing linear and digital video/audio content. The Media Engineer II will focus on maintaining existing technologies, handling tiered support escalations, and contributing to system integration initiatives.

What type of experience the right candidate has:
• 3+ years in live media production and distribution environments
• Proficiency with microservices, DevOps tools, and modern design principles
• Experience with SMPTE standards and cloud certifications

Key responsibilities:
• Ensure the performance, uptime, and stability of technical environments
• Troubleshoot and maintain IP-based broadcast systems and cloud infrastructure
• Create, read, and interpret AutoCAD and other technical documentation
• Participate in system integration efforts and preventative engineering initiatives
