Job Title: Survey CAD Designer

Work Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Accura Engineering is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Survey CAD Designer to become a vital part of our team. If you have a rich background in land surveying and CAD design, this role is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your skills and advance your career.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Process daily field survey data using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD to generate high-quality survey drawings that meet client expectations.
• Create 3D digital terrain models from field data for engineering design projects using InRoads/OpenRoads or similar software.
• Design and draft for various land surveying projects while adhering to CAD standards, including GDOT compliance.
• Work closely with designers and project managers to ensure precision and efficiency throughout project development.
• Facilitate effective communication with field crews to ensure the collection of accurate data.
• Prepare and compile comprehensive information for plans, as-builts, and final plats.
• Review and refine plats and drawings based on constructive feedback and revisions from supervisors.
• Assist in developing preliminary layouts, specifications, and documentation for diverse survey projects.
• Conduct basic surveys, which may include closings, foundations, and elevation certificates.
• Occasionally work in the field to validate drawings against real-world conditions and work towards obtaining professional certification.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy by checking calculations, plats, and worksheets to ensure all deliverables meet rigorous project standards.
• Support and collaborate with office staff, clients, and cross-departmental teams to successfully complete projects.
• Enhance your technical skills while contributing to team growth by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in CAD and survey software.
• 5+ years of experience in land surveying.
• A minimum of 1 year of field and office surveying experience, particularly in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with GDOT standards and processes.
• Essential experience with survey software and equipment.
• At least 1 year of experience using MicroStation software is preferred.
• Knowledge of technical drafting; an Associate Degree in Technical Drafting or a related field is preferred.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with the Survey Team, including Project Managers and Professional Land Surveyors (PLS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other business software.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
