Senior Accountant

We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to partner with the CFO and oversee financial reporting, WIP/project accounting, and California compliance within a growing construction organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead month-end close and full balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements and support audits
Maintain WIP schedule using Percentage of Completion (POC)
Reconcile over/under billings and monitor project profit fade
Ensure accurate change order accounting in ERP (Syspro)
Oversee lien notices, waiver compliance, and CA Sales & Use Tax filings
Maintain internal controls and the three-way match process across AP/AR/Receiving

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or Business
3+ years of construction/contracting accounting experience
Knowledge of CA lien laws and waiver forms
Advanced Excel and construction ERP experience
Ability to communicate financial insights to project teams
