This is a full-time Remote role for a Senior NLP Architect / Lead ML Engineer (BERT Expert)
The person can work from home (anywhere in INDIA, job location is in India). We’re seeking a senior-level NLP and machine learning expert with deep hands-on experience in BERT, LLMs, embeddings, and advanced NLP pipelines . This role involves designing and maintaining scalable AI / ML architectures, building sophisticated NLP-driven data pipelines, and leading enterprise initiatives on feature engineering, model development, and Gen-AI productivity enhancements.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in Python, modern NLP frameworks, vector databases, embeddings , and best practices in MLOps for LLM-based systems. The role also requires the ability to leverage GitHub Copilot and AI assistants for faster pipeline creation, data-quality automation, and model development.
Key Responsibilities :
• Design, develop, and optimize NLP / LLM pipelines using BERT, embeddings, transformers, and related architectures
• Build scalable data workflows and AI-driven pipelines for text analytics, classification, search, and semantic understanding
• Lead feature engineering, text preprocessing, and vector-based search implementations
• Implement MLOps best practices for NLP / LLM model training, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring
• Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to streamline development of Python data pipelines, QA checks, and ML workflows
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to architect robust and scalable LLM-based solutions
Qualifications :
Senior-level, hands-on expertise in :
• BERT, Transformer-based models, LLMs, embeddings
• NLP tasks such as NER, classification, topic modeling, summarization, semantic search
• Modern NLP / ML frameworks (Transformers, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Strong skills in :
• Python, SQL , and ETL / ELT workflows for NLP-driven pipelines
• Data modeling, data engineering fundamentals, and API-driven integrations
Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma) is a plus
Solid understanding of AI / ML architecture design and data governance
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Bachelor’s / Master’s in CS, IT, or related field
3+ years of experience in NLP / ML engineering or related fields
