Experienced Dental Assistant

Full job description
Our dental practice is seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our dedicated and friendly team. The opportunity exists for a full-time position although we are open to various flexibility options.

The ideal candidate is reliable and responsive, has excellent work ethic, works efficiently and takes pride in their work.

A minimum of 1 year dental assisting is strongly preferred although we are willing to provide training and direction to a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Dental assistant

Assisting the dentist in the dental surgery with various dental procedures
Sterilising and disinfection duties. Maintaining a high standard of disinfection in the surgeries, sterilisation room, staff room and waiting room areas.
Meeting and greeting patients in a professional manner.
Providing a supportive and calming environment for patients in the surgery.
Doing regular stocktake of supplies to maintain inventory level.
Assist in the ordering of supplies.
General cleaning duties of the surgery
The Successful Candidate :

Possess good people skills and have a warm, friendly disposition
Is fluent in English
Is reliable and always punctual
Are not squeamish of bloody/ surgical procedures
Work well in a small team
Take pride in their work and welcomes positive feedback
Work well under the instruction of the dentist.
Work well under pressure
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $32.00 – $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week

Work Location: In person
