Job Summary:
The Quality Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes and products consistently meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of quality control principles in a manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities: Duties may be modified or additional duties assigned.

Help implement and enforce the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Identify areas of continuous improvement within the quality department and in the Quality Management System.

Help train and mentor team members on the Quality Management System and best practices.

Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of raw material to ensure no defects are present.

Collaborate with production management to optimize the manufacturing process and reduce defects.

Help manage non-conforming materials and assist with writing and implementing the CAPA.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and efficiency.

Assist with line trials for raw materials and report findings to QC Manager.

Evaluate the final output of products to determine their quality

Review all labeling to ensure accuracy prior to printing.

Stay updated on all laws and regulations that pertain to packaging and labeling within the U.S. and Canada.

Investigates and resolves complaints of poor quality or defective products

Collects data for study of performance capabilities and recommends improvements to the organization’s processes, equipment and procedures. Determines the cause of unacceptable results and recommends corrective action as appropriate

Represents the quality function in association with design, development, manufacture and inspection activities involving quality systems, specifications, standards and compliance issues and processes in activities that contribute to product certification requirements

Tests products, equipment and processes. Analyzes testing results and takes corrective action, as needed

Reviews customer complaints to ensure that they are addressed in an appropriate manner within established timeframes.

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience preferred

Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work closely with all business processes and functions

Specific knowledge and ability to lead the development of quality processes to address current constraints and future growth

Strong independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as needed to support the business

Certification in Value Based Six Sigma preferred
