Fashion Director- Fashion & Textiles

Job description
As a Fashion Director in the Design/Creative department, you will play a key role in leading and elevating the fashion and textile design direction for our company. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the creative direction for seasonal textile and fashion collections, from concept to final product.
- Developing textile design strategies, mood boards, color stories, and fabric concepts in alignment with brand identity and trend forecasts.
- Supervising and mentoring a team of textile designers and junior creatives.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with merchandising, production, and marketing to ensure creative output meets business goals.
- Overseeing print development, fabric selection, and surface treatments such as digital, woven, dyed, and embroidered techniques.
- Staying updated on fashion trends, sustainability practices, and emerging technologies in textiles.
- Presenting creative concepts to senior leadership and external partners as necessary.
- Managing timelines, resources, and quality control throughout the creative process.

Qualifications required for this role:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role within the fashion or textile industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing original textile work and fashion collections with a blend of commercial and artistic elements.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); familiarity with CAD textile tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and inspiring creative teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and storytelling through textiles.

Preferred qualifications include:

- Experience working with international supply chains and fabric mills.
- Knowledge of sustainable materials and circular fashion practices.
- Background in print and woven textile development.
