About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Engineer with 10+ years of professional experience in building, scaling, and maintaining high-performance Android applications. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in fintech, payments, digital wallets, banking apps, or similar financial domains, ensuring compliance with security, performance, and scalability standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop complex, secure, and scalable Android applications in the fintech/payments domain.
• Implement robust app security standards (encryption, secure storage, SSL pinning, biometric authentication).
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and network efficiency for large-scale fintech applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (backend, DevOps, QA, product) to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
• Adopt clean architecture (MVVM), multi-module app, and scalable code practices.
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to setting coding guidelines and best practices.
• Integrate with complex APIs including payment gateways, digital wallets, credit/debit card services.
• Ensure compliance with RBI, PCI-DSS, and other fintech regulatory/security guidelines.Handle app releases, versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and Play Store deployments at scale.
Technical Skills Required
• Core Android Development: Kotlin, Java, Jetpack components, Coroutines, Flow, LiveData.
• Architecture: MVVM, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
• Networking & Data: Retrofit/OkHttp, gRPC, WebSockets, MQTT, Room/Realm/SQLite, DataStore.
• Fintech Integrations: Payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, etc.), Card tokenization, biometric authentication.
• Security Practices: Encryption, SSL/TLS, certificate pinning, Android Keystore, OAuth2.0, JWT.
• Performance & Scalability: Multithreading, profiling (CPU, memory, battery), crash analytics (Firebase/Crashlytics).
• CI/CD & Tools: Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Gradle optimization, ProGuard/R8, Play Console.
• Testing: JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, UI Automator, End-to-End testing frameworks.
• Other: Knowledge of fintech compliance (PCI-DSS, RBI security guidelines), experience with digital KYC, lending apps, fraud detection modules is a plus.
