Red Technology is an Ecommerce Solutions provider based in Eynsham Oxfordshire.

We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Junior IT Support Technician to join our small, friendly team. We run a web hosting operation across two datacentres and provide internal IT support for our office network and employees. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine enthusiasm for technology to gain real-world experience and grow into a broader infrastructure and hosting role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Initially, you’ll focus on internal IT support:

Supporting Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365
Basic networking and firewall configuration
Commissioning and maintaining PCs and laptops
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues for staff
You’ll also be involved in:

Assisting with systems monitoring and maintenance across our two data centres
Handling customer renewals for domain names and digital certificates
Performing daily operational checks across systems and infrastructure
Assisting with quarterly compliance processes for PCI DSS
Over time, you’ll get involved in our hosting operations:

Supporting a mixed Linux, Windows, and SQL Server environment
Working with Cisco networking (including OSPF and BGP)
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for passion, curiosity, and potential. The ideal candidate will have:
A genuine interest in IT and technology
A hobbyist mindset — someone who enjoys building PCs, tinkering with Linux, and exploring networking
Strong Maths and Science skills at GCSE and/or A-Level
Excellent verbal and written communication, a team-oriented attitude, and a sense of humour
A tenacious and creative approach to problem solving, with great attention to detail
A willingness to learn and grow into more advanced technical responsibilities
Salary, Hours & Benefits

£22,500 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift between 8:00am and 6:30pm
23 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Selection Process

A small number of candidates will be selected and asked to complete an online assessment - requiring 55 minutes of your time.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a one hour video interview via ms teams where we will spend 20 minutes finding out more about you, 20 minutes on technical discussion, 10 minutes discussing the job in more detail, and 10 minutes on a Q&A.

As we receive good applicants we will rapidly organise sessions, provide feedback and make decisions.

Pay: £22,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
