Job Title: Registered Nurse – Aged Care & NDIS Support
Location: Dandenong

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will play a critical role in delivering and overseeing high-quality clinical care to NDIS participants and aged care clients. The RN will be responsible for care planning, clinical assessments, medication management, wound care, infection control, staff training, and ensuring all services comply with professional, legal, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualised care plans.
Oversee medication administration, documentation, and auditing in line with NDIS and aged care regulations.
Provide wound care, catheter care, stoma management, and other complex clinical procedures.
Support NDIS participants with health-related needs including chronic disease management and health education.
Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards, and organisational policies.
Supervise and mentor support workers and enrolled nurses (ENs).
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes.
Participate in incident management, risk assessment, and infection prevention initiatives.
Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals, and families to ensure coordinated care.
Contribute to continuous improvement, audits, and compliance reporting.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Registration & Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (Division 1) registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in aged care, community nursing, or disability care.
Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA).
Professional Documentation
Current AHPRA Registration Certificate (unrestricted).
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months).
Working with Children Check (WWCC) if required by role.
First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) – current and valid.
Immunisation Record, including COVID-19 vaccination evidence (as per Department of Health guidelines).
Driver’s Licence (Full, unrestricted) and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
Proof of Professional Indemnity Insurance (if self-employed or subcontracting).
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
Postgraduate qualification or certificate in Aged Care, Community Nursing, or Disability Nursing.
Experience working under the NDIS Code of Conduct and understanding of NDIS Practice Standards.
Previous experience with care management software (e.g., Lumary, ShiftCare, CareMaster).
Training in Manual Handling, Infection Control, and Medication Competency.
Understanding of Person-Centred Care and Trauma-Informed Practice principles.
