Bourgault Industries is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician or Technologist to lead quality initiatives, inspect products, and to work responsibly and independently in support of the overall effort to measure quality performance, resolve non-conformances, implement corrective & preventative actions and achieve continuous improvement in the company’s operations.

Responsibilities

Audit and report on finished unit quality and In-process quality audits
Work with suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues as well as new parts and vendor approval process
Perform inspections using MetraScan, Faro arm and other inspection tools
Measure and report on corporate quality performance
Review and analyze quality-related reports and data
Lead and assist with the resolution of internal quality problems
Support quality-related functions in production
Academic/Education Requirements

Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or similar background is an asset but not required
Manufacturing and/or supplier quality assurance experience would be an asset but is not required
Required Skills/Experience

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles and tools
Strong computer skills (including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word)
Able to think critically and creatively to solve problems
Possesses a high degree of self-awareness and analytical skills
Ability to see the “big picture” and act purposefully
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Hands-on mechanical aptitude
Able to see the need for and utilize all relevant and available resources from various Bourgault teams
Possess a genuine interest in achieving corporate quality standards

Wage Range
$28.00 - $40.00 – Starting wage is dependent on experience.
