Job Description
As a Senior R&D Specialist for Womens Footwear at Ticomp Heels Pvt Ltd in Lucknow, you will play a crucial role in leading material innovation, construction techniques, and technical development for high fashion womens footwear collections.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading R&D efforts for developing new materials, components, and construction techniques specifically tailored for high-end womens footwear.
- Researching and identifying innovative materials like leathers, textiles, hardware, and soles that align with luxury aesthetics and performance standards.
- Partnering with design and product teams to support the technical realization of creative concepts from prototype to production.
- Collaborating with suppliers and factories, especially in Italy, Spain, or Portugal, to explore capabilities, develop new techniques, and solve construction challenges.
- Analyzing wearability, durability, and comfort to ensure both form and function are optimized for the luxury consumer.
- Championing sustainable innovation in materials and processes.
- Conducting testing and trials on new developments, documenting findings, and providing technical input on fit, pattern engineering, heel and sole development, and finishing techniques.
- Supporting continuous improvement in quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in R&D or technical development within the luxury/high fashion womens footwear industry.
- A degree in Footwear Technology, Industrial Design, Material Science, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of footwear construction methods, last development, and materials sourcing.
- Strong relationships with luxury footwear factories and material suppliers, particularly in Europe.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative and commercially successful footwear solutions.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Rhino, Delcam Crispin), pattern software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
