Our Recreation, Sports and Events team are now hiring for one fixed-term Duty Officer to join our cleaning team.

Spencer Beach Holiday Park is a recreational destination stretching over 17 hectares, where guests can relax and unwind in a huge campground in the middle of a 70 hectare forested reserve, or take part in one of the many activities nearby. Situated just 20 minutes from the city and airport, we're also only 500m from the beach. Serving up great experiences and excellent services for our community, our people are nothing short of awe-inspiring in the level of service and assistance they provide for the people of Christchurch and beyond.

About the role | Ko te mahi nei

Duty Officers are an essential part of our team, our cleanliness is something our customers and staff hold in high regard and you will be at the forefront of ensuring we exceed our customers expectations. You will help us provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment to our guests at all times. This is a hands-on role focusing on cleaning of our facilities.

Day-to-day duties include:

Daily cleaning of toilet/shower and kitchen blocks
Assisting with housekeeping and laundry
Organisation of cleaning supplies and equipment
Exterior cleaning of buildings
Detail cleaning
Rubbish and recycling runs
Assisting in training, and working with other camp staff on cleaning duties
Assisting camp staff with other areas as needed, such as gardening, maintenance, and mowing
Please note you will be required to work most public holidays, and the main holiday period (Christmas to Feb approx.), as this is our busiest period.

About you | Ko Koe Tēnei

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

To be able to clean consistently to a high standard and take pride in your work.
Be physically fit and capable of full days of physical duties
Be Friendly and approachable to our customers
Have the ability to work unsupervised, and follow cleaning procedures
Able to take feedback, direction and continuously improve
A Comprehensive first aid certificate is desirable
A full New Zealand Driver's Licence is desirable, and manual driving ability is an added advantage.
Additional Information | Ko ētahi atu kōrero:

Hours of work: Sunday to Thursday, 10am - 2pm. Total: 20 hours per week.
Position: Fixed-term, part-time.
Salary: $30.98 per hour.
