About us: We help women get clarity through digital tarot readings and a pay‑by‑minute psychic chat app. We’re growing fast and need a full-time editor who can turn long-form into high-performing shorts and ads.
Role:
- Edit 2 YouTube videos/week (10–20 min) and repurpose into shorts/reels
- Cut direct‑response ads and VSL segments that convert (hook-first, proof-heavy)
- Hit 48‑hour turnarounds, manage your own pipeline, communicate clearly in English
You’ll succeed if you:
- Obsess over hooks, test multiple first 3–5 seconds per asset
- Assemble ads as Hook → Value (proof) → CTA
- Prefer raw testimonials/UGC over overproduced edits for credibility
- Repurpose long-form into dozens of shorts and ad cuts efficiently; pull winners from our organic content
- Love using AI tools and enhancing videos with generative AI
Requirements:
- Portfolio with YouTube, ads, and VSL examples (before/after, CTR/retention if available)
- Tools: Premiere/CapCut/DaVinci. English communication. 2–4 hours/day overlap with our timezone.
- Full-time availability. Fast file management and versioning.
Compensation:
- Full-time monthly retainer (contractor). Competitive, based on skill.

Are you an experienced freelance editor with spanish fluency living in Hampton Roads, VA?
Are you able to edit for story and identify the best moments out of hours of footage? Do you have a high standard and enjoy pushing the boundaries artistically on all that video can and will do?
Jpixx is seeking a freelance editor with spanish fluency and flexibility and availability during the regular business hours to join us for several projects coming up.
We run a very supportive team environment and are needing more hands on deck with spanish fluency. We are looking for someone to work with us locally, often coming to our Virginia Beach office.
Freelance Editor
• Proficient in Video Editing (Adobe Premiere); able to articulate story and edit with inspiration, creativity and style.
• Helping the team by adhering to company file structure and systems and organizing footage, backing up drives, and logging clips.
• Meticulous with details to incorporate required client branding, accurate titles and style that works with each client and project being sent out.
• Accountable and able to handle feedback and take detailed direction for multiple rounds of edits.
Qualifications
• Spanish Fluency, MUST LIVE IN HAMPTON ROADS, availability within the work week to come in.
• Able to juggle projects and stay dedicated to projects from start to finish stay in steady communication with us to meet deadlines.
• A background in video production, amassing knowledge of many aspects on own or in college and using it with at least 1-5 years of professional video work experience.
• Be responsible, dependable, organized and follow directions well.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
• Proficient with editing software; Adobe CC, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects; Knowledge of Mac OS.
• Experience working with creative teams to develop ideas, take direction and execute strategies.
• Being a self-starter and deadline driven is a must.
• Understanding of marketing principles and short form video
• Dedication to your craft taking the time to make a quality result, while also being open to feedback an having perspective of the end goal for the client.
• Professionalism is always expected as you would be interacting with professionals, creative teams and clients.
• Team oriented attitude for organizing, logging and transferring footage using our methods of consistency for organization.
To Note:
• Working with us could be a combination of working at your own station or within one of ours in Virginia Beach. Must live close to Virginia Beach.
• Time requests could span from in or outside the regular work week but ideally some time within the work week for meetings, collaborating and discussing projects in-person.
• Additional freelance needs could be possible during busier times for the right candidate.
COMPLIMENTARY EXPERIENCE
• Director of Photography, Marketing Savviness, Photography, Graphic Design, Color Correction and Color Grading, Sound Design, Motion Graphics, Ability to apply set makeup, Production Design, Creative Writing, screenwriting, copywriting, Journalistic Writing and Interviewing Skills
