Job Role: Mechanical Supervisor (Plumbing Supervisor)
Location: HMP Pentonville (N7)
Salary: £47,045.49 plus additional 5% basic salary in recognition of shift and weekend working
Contract: Full Time - Perm
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Pentonville a category B male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor with any combination of:
• Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
• Must be familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
• Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems
• Experience of supervising staff
• Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification - Desirable
• Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) - Desirable
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Future Plans
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.

Location: Perth (with travel to other sites across Scotland)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Ongoing Contract
Overtime: May be available at enhanced rates
About the Role:
Prime Workforce (PWS) is currently recruiting experienced Domestic Plumbers to join our client’s growing team. You’ll be working on first and second fix plumbing installations within new build housing developments, including projects with Persimmon Homes and other leading housebuilders.
This position is primarily based at the Perth site, with opportunities to support other developments across Scotland.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ plumbing experience (domestic focus)
• Experience working on new build housing developments
• Skilled in first and second fix plumbing
• Valid CSCS card – Required
• Full UK driving licence – Required
• Willingness to travel to sites across Scotland
Desirable:
• Domestic Gas qualifications – Advantageous but not essential
• Previous experience on large-scale housing projects (e.g. Persimmon Homes, Bellway, Barratt)
