Job Summary:
The Lead Structural Engineer is a highly specialized professional responsible for the end-to-end design, analysis, and integrity management of complex facilities in the oil and gas industry. This role covers initial conceptual studies to detailed engineering, and ongoing operational support for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Main Responsibilities:
• Design and Engineering: Perform advanced structural analysis and design for both reinforced concrete and steel structures, including pipe racks, platforms, foundations, and buildings.
• Conduct comprehensive in-place, fatigue, seismic, and blast analysis for both onshore and offshore structures.
• Develop detailed engineering deliverables, including technical specifications, calculation reports, and engineering drawings (GAs, details, layouts).
• Utilize advanced engineering software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SACS, ABAQUS, Navisworks) for structural analysis, simulation, and 3D modeling.
• Project Management and Coordination: Lead the civil and structural aspects of projects from the conceptual (FEED) stage through detailed design and into execution.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (process, piping, mechanical, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of designs.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using 3D modeling tools to identify and mitigate conflicts with other disciplines.
• Integrity and Maintenance: Conduct structural integrity assessments of existing facilities, performing fitness-for-service evaluations.
• Develop and implement structural inspection and reliability programs to monitor the health of assets.
• Field and Construction Support: Perform site visits and inspections to ensure construction activities comply with design specifications.
