Job Summary

As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist in the preparation and organization of food items in a kitchen environment. Your role is crucial in supporting kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely meal service.

Duties
• Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
• Support kitchen staff during peak hours by helping with food assembly and plating
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of prepared food
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
• Collaborate with cooks and chefs to meet kitchen demands efficiently

Qualifications
• Previous experience in the food industry, restaurant, catering, or culinary field is preferred
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of food safety practices and guidelines
• Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen supervisors
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
• Familiarity with kitchen tools such as knives and cutting boards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.60 - $17.45 per hour
