Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about residential and light commercial design who wants to gain hands-on experience and grow within a dynamic studio environment. You’ll support the Principal Designer on a variety of projects, assisting with design development, sourcing, drafting, client presentations, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

Design & Concept Development
• Assist in creating design concepts, mood boards, and presentation materials for client meetings.
• Source FF&E, finishes, and materials in line with design direction and client budget.

Technical & Drafting Support
• Create and revise floor plans, elevations, and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Produce furniture plans, mood boards, and material boards

Project Management Support
• Assist in tracking project schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, and fabricators to obtain quotes and product details.

Required Skills & Programs

Design & Drafting Software
• AutoCAD – for floor plans and elevations.
• SketchUp (plus V-Ray or Enscape is a plus) – for 3D modeling and conceptual renderings.

Preferred Qualifications
• Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Must be located in Long Island, New York
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Design or related field
• Prior experience with interior design or passion to learn about design industry
