Job description
Job Duties:
• Design and implement SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB databases.
• Ensure databases are properly maintained, including backups and restores.
• Manage deployments and ensure best practices are followed.
• Work with the security team to ensure database security.
• Manage database migrations between servers and versions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with databases.
• Work with vendor support on any issues that require their assistance.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to databases.
• Collaborate with other IT team members, including the development team, to ensure system availability and performance.
• Create Change Management Requests with IT and Development.
• Support reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.
• Provide Power BI (and other reporting platforms) support.
• Work with the development team members for AI integrations.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Optimize Power BI data models for performance and scalability.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI using Power Query and DAX.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across dashboards.
• Implement row-level security and manage access permissions in Power BI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance for SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with database migrations and deployments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work during US Central time zone hours.
• Experience working with vendor support is a plus.
• Familiarity with Change Management processes.
• Experience supporting reporting team members with database queries and data requirements.
• Experience providing Power BI (and other reporting platforms) support.
• Familiarity with AI integrations.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
