Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and a good understanding of mechanical operations. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Duties

Operate lorries, including flatbed vehicles, to transport goods to various locations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transportation
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally
Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence
Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous
Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle
Experience operating flatbed lorries is preferred
Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with inteam members and clients
