Job Description

About us

Lanterns Global is a company specializing in outdoor educational programs. We offer Spanish immersion programs (El Jardín), marine biology programs (Tides), forest preschool (Terrain), and a homeschool support/farm school program (Farm to Table). We also offer foreign language tutoring. We have been delivering unique outdoor learning experiences to homeschoolers (and others) for over seven years and our team continues to grow!

We are actively seeking a Head Teacher (fluent Spanish speaker) for our Spanish 1 after-school program in La Cañada Flintridge.

Classes will be offered Monday through Friday 2:45 pm-4:45 pm.

Each class is led by one of our native Spanish-speaking teachers who is supported by a Spanish-speaking Teaching Assistant.

The ideal candidate will uphold and embody our Core Values:

Initiative Taking. We generate ideas, share them, and implement them so that our programs can be continuously improved each day at each location.

Nurturing Influence. We go beyond the lessons, and we use emotional intelligence to nurture our students to be their best selves.

Ultimate Responsibility. We are personally committed to the long-term success of our programs/company and embody this to our parents.

Joyful Flexibility. We embrace change, weather, ambiguity, and conflict with joyful hearts and with steady hands.

Outdoorsy Grit. We love nature in all of its countless elements, and we inspire others with this love. Our afterschool programs are a modified version of our regular El Jardín program so will be a combination of indoor/outdoor.

Passionate Lifelong Learner. We have our own interesting worlds of intrigue, hobby and expertise which we use to inspire others.
