Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: York Region, ON

Job Type: 3 months to permanent

Salary: $27.00-$32.00/hour

Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team.

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established commercial property management company, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support their accounting team for a 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will bring 1–2 years of accounting experience and a strong attention to detail. This role requires someone diligent, organized, and capable of managing day-to-day accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions
• Process A/R, including cheque handling and deposit preparation
• Assist with general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Support month-end close procedures
• Communicate with tenants and vendors as needed regarding payment status or discrepancies

Qualifications:
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or a commercial real estate setting
• Strong understanding of A/R, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks independently
