Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our clients' financial health through accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. We are a small firm that is family oriented. Hours would be Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 16th through December, 31st and Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from January 1st through April 15th. There are opportunities for overtime during "tax season".

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain financial records.
Conduct account reconciliations and manage general ledger entries.
Compute payroll and payroll taxes.
Analyze financial data and calculate sales tax liabilities.
Assist with processing of tax returns.
Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
Communicate and work closely with clients and other staff members.
Qualifications
Associates degree in Accounting or related field.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.
QuickBooks and Excel Experience is helpful.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
