What we are looking for:

Are you an experienced HR professional ready to make a real impact in local government? We're seeking two skilled Senior HR Business Partners to join our high-performing team, with a strong focus on industrial relations. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence organisational culture, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to meaningful outcomes in a fast-paced, purpose-led setting.

What your day will look like:

Partnering with both supervisors and managers to understand and support their strategic priorities
Providing comprehensive and technical advice to all of Council on a range of matters including employment relationship matters
Interpreting industrial agreements, legislation, and relevant internal policies
Providing advice on position departmental restructure requests
Conducting workplace investigations
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and ensuring an effective level of service
Ensuring Human Resource compliance and governance

What you’ll need for success:

You’ll bring strong experience across the HR function and the confidence to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including providing trusted advice to senior leaders. While local government experience is a bonus, it’s your ability to navigate complex people matters with professionalism and insight that will set you apart.

You’ll have:

Working knowledge of Industrial and employee relations
Strong organisational and time management skills, able to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
A high level of computer literacy with the ability to learn council systems
