What we are looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced complaints and information professional to join our governance team taking responsibility for our complaints and information handling and management system.


What your day will look like:

Reviewing and prioritising complaints in line with delegations and organisational priorities
Conducting thorough assessments and reviews of complaints and information requests
Providing well-researched recommendations and monitoring their implementation
Ensuring compliance with council reporting obligations and legislative requirements
Delivering training to internal stakeholders to enhance knowledge and compliance practices
Engaging with different areas of local government to provide tailored governance support

What you’ll need for success:

Extensive experience in handling administrative complaints and managing right to information and information privacy matters
Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong research and report-writing capabilities
A proactive and adaptable approach to learning across diverse local government functions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
