Join Our Team as a Lead NonStop Software Engineer in Toronto!
Are you a seasoned NonStop Software Engineer with a passion for leading complex migration projects in the financial sector? We're looking for a talented and experienced Lead NonStop Software Engineer to join our team in Toronto on a hybrid, full-time basis.
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the charge on our critical NonStop hardware/software upgrades and the migration of our Wealth Management Backend Trading Applications to a new, upgraded software stack. This involves significant integration with both vendor and internal RBC applications, making your expertise invaluable.
Salary: FTE/Subcon
What You'll Be Doing:
• Leading a dedicated team in the migration efforts for our Wealth Management Trading Applications.
• Working hands-on with technologies like COBOL, SCOBOL, JDK8, JDK17, TACL, and BASH – a minimum of 5 years of solid development experience in these languages is a must!
• Driving the adoption of AGILE and DEVOPS methodologies within the team.
• Leveraging your expertise in GUARDIAN/OSS L-Series, C/C++, TAL, ENSCRIBE, SQLMX, SHADOWBASE, DDL, NS SOAP, FUP, SPOOLER, MQ, SOAP, REST, PATHWAY, and NETBATCH.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing complex NonStop environments.
What We're Looking For:
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to guide and mentor development teams.
• Extensive recent development experience with the mentioned NonStop technologies.
• A strong grasp of enterprise-level application development and migration challenges.
• Nice-to-have experience includes: Wealth Management Trading (Equity/Options, Fixed Income, FX, Mutual Funds), Active/Active setups, DBA skills, Performance Tuning, NSDEE, TS/MP ACS, ITP Webserver, ATP, NS JSP, NS API GATEWAY, SFTP, SAFEGUARD, Prognosis, MEASURE, NS JMeter, MXDM, SQL Express, NS HTTPS, NS SSH, XYGATE XMA, ELK, SCF, TCP/IP, Firewall, and Network utilities.
