Riviera Hardware Holdings Ltd is one of the largest groups within the Mitre 10 network, proudly Kiwi-owned and operated. Since opening a small Mitre 10 store in Warkworth in 2009, we’ve expanded to include Mitre 10 MEGA Albany—New Zealand’s largest hardware store—along with locations in New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparaoa, and Silverdale. We also operate Columbus Coffee cafés, a Distribution Centre, and a Frame & Truss Manufacturing Plant.

About the Store
Opened in 2026, Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale is our newest, most modern site—purpose-built with sustainability and innovation at its core. From our green-star-rated building and EV chargers to digital shelf labels and wide product range, we’ve raised the bar for home improvement retail. Located just off SH1 by the Milldale Bridge, we serve a rapidly growing community with a passionate, knowledgeable team and a strong connection to our local clubs, schools, and charities.
About the Roles
We’re currently hiring for two permanent, part-time positions, each based in a key area of our store (Please specify your preferred role and availability when applying:
️ Seasonal Department Team Member
Support customers with heating, cooling, BBQs, camping gear, and outdoor living solutions.
3 days/week: Two weekdays + one weekend day (Sunday preferred)
Approx. 24 hours per week
Power Garden / Indoor Garden Team Member
Help customers find the right tools and tips to care for their lawns and indoor plants.
1 day/week: 8 hours, will be a weekend day only (Saturday preferred)
Approx. 8 hours per week
What You’ll Bring
A genuine interest in BBQ's, Outdoor Furniture, Camping, gardening, or home improvement required
Previous customer service or retail experience required
Confidence using POS systems and giving friendly product advice
Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
Weekend availability is essential (Saturday or Sunday depending on role)
You live locally—within approx. 30km of Silverdale
Your Day-to-Day
Greet and assist customers with product recommendations
Restock and merchandise your department to keep it tidy and inspiring
Learn about new products and seasonal promotions
Work as part of a helpful, hands-on team
Provide excellent service that keeps customers coming back
