Join our Internal Audit team as an Analytics Manager – Drive Insight, Shape Risk Oversight!

This is a permanent, full time role
Flexibility on role location
The role

Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insights? We’re looking for an Analytics Manager to apply cutting-edge Data Analytics (DA) techniques to solve complex problems and enhance our risk oversight capabilities.

This is more than just a technical role – it’s your opportunity to engage with operations across the entire Suncorp Group, build impactful relationships with key stakeholders, and make a real difference. As part of our growing Internal Audit Data Analytics team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our function and helping us become a leader in this evolving space.

What you’ll do

The Analytics Manager is responsible for delivering evidence-based insights that validate the effectiveness of risk management processes. This includes leading multiple analytics engagements, collaborating with audit teams and stakeholders to define and execute data analytics scopes, and delivering high-quality, end-to-end analysis using established methodologies. The role involves translating complex data into clear, actionable insights through effective communication and data visualization.

Additionally, the position supports continuous improvement, provides training, shares expertise, and ensures quality assurance across the Internal Audit data analytics community.

What you’ll bring

A background in Analytics, Mathematics, Commerce, IT, or Engineering is preferred, along with 5+ years of experience in analytics or data-focused roles. Proficiency in SQL-based tools is essential, while skills in Python, APIs, JSON processing, and knowledge of financial systems are advantageous. Strong capabilities in data visualization (e.g. Tableau) and a solid track record across the full analytics lifecycle—from problem definition to communication of insights—are key. Experience in Financial Services or Risk is a plus.

Our culture

Working as part of the Suncorp Group you will have access to an unparalleled range of job opportunities across insurance and corporate services. We promote a high-performance culture where people are rewarded for effort and dedication. We recognise and value commitment and encourage our people to maintain a healthy balance between their career and personal time. Suncorp has been awarded Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) for seven years in a row.
