EMV Payment Kernel Expert

Full job description
As a Payment Kernel Expert you’ll contribute to the team’s effort to build, maintain, support and drive certification in payment software solutions & payment kernels with a commitment to delivering a quality solution on time and to agreed industry standards.

Your role will also involve

Acting as a subject matter expert in EMV & other payment kernel software
Payment software, firmware and kernel development, maintenance & documentation
Coordination and planning
Communication and relationship management
Embedded product maintenance
Test plan development
Development process and continuous improvement
We are looking for someone who is able to manage complexity and is driving for results with a strong customer focus. High attention to detail, affinity for new technologies & excellent problem-solving skills would be a great asset. You will be part of a high performing team that are passionate about their job and work hard to get projects across the line.

Essential Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Development or Engineering
10+ years of development and/or testing experience – developing code using C
Technical skills including high level understanding of software development, software test
Problem investigation and resolution experience in a software environment
Experience with Version Control Systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Good communication skills both written and verbal
No restrictions to travel
Desirable:

Experience supporting payment systems (Banking/finance industry)
Knowledge of retail systems (particularly in the petroleum industry)
Knowledge of electronic payment systems and relevant security standards
Experience in EMV Level 1 and/or Level 2 Kernel development
Experience in C++, Linux, Python, Java, Bash scripting
Ability to promote a test driven development approach
Experience being front line with customers (meetings, support matter discussions)
