THE ROLE…
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to support our Darwin Commercial operations. In this vital role, you’ll work closely with both senior management at our Darwin site and the National Support Office team to ensure accurate financial operations and reporting.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software

Managing accounts payable and receivable

Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions

Assisting with month-end and year-end financial close processes

Ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive financial data


YOU…
You’re analytical, self-motivated, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You love numbers, but also understand people – able to communicate clearly and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

We’re looking for someone with:

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce

Industry experience (highly regarded)

Experience with Jim2 software (desirable)

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

A self-starter mindset and strong initiative

Adaptability and a flexible approach to changing priorities

Excellent communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude
