Full-Time

Responsibilities:
• Maintain current contractor relationships by answering emails and phone calls regarding existing styles.
• Assess all incoming garments and soft goods for Quality Assurance, reporting back to contractor the exact issues and how to correct them.
• Request and pick up samples from various contractors around Toronto.
• Build new relationships with various vendors, contractors, and suppliers, relating to all stages of garment production (sample makers, pattern makers, fabric mills, sewing facilities, packaging production, etc).
• Aid warehouse staff in organization, maintaining garment repair supplies/tools, picking and packing as necessary.
• Support Customer Service Staff with thorough knowledge of clothing materials, sizing, and delivery dates.
• Occasionally repair damaged garments.

Required Skills:
• Intermediate knowledge of garment construction.
• Knowledge of fibre/fabric qualities, ability to recognize by physical samples and photos.
• Great communication skills, able to explain exactly what is required clearly using correct terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret a spec pack.
• Sharp eye for details, ability to recognize errors in garment construction.
• Must have driver's license and be comfortable driving in/around Toronto.

Soft Skills:
• Organized, must maintain current record keeping.
• Self-starter, works well independently.
• Research, ability to assess manufacturers based on communication, photos, samples, and in-person visits.
• Able to stand all day and lift boxes up to 20 lbs.
• Adobe Illustrator - beginner to intermediate.
• Hand/Machine Sewing abilities a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $14.00 to $19.00 /hour

• DCS / DEC (Preferred)
