ACCOUNTANT

Full job description
Job Description : This position reports to the Controller. The Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, supporting audits, and managing specialized functions including lease accounting and foreign currency transactions. This role requires a high level of accounting expertise, analytical skill, and attention to regulatory and operational details.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review general ledger journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including assisting in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
Assist in fixed asset accounting, accruals, and intercompany transactions
Assist in administration of lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842
Reconcile and review foreign currency transactions, and analyze currency exchange impacts on financial results
Assist in budget variance analysis
Provide support for internal and external audits, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in industrial or manufacturing environments
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite
Skills & Competencies

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage to multiple priorities and deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
