Position Title: Electrical Design Expert
Department: MEP / Electrical Engineering / Design
Location: Mumbai, Delhi
Position Summary:
The Electrical Design Expert will be responsible for leading and delivering comprehensive electrical design solutions across a wide range of sectors including infrastructure (horizontal utilities, power distribution, transmission), buildings (commercial, residential, office, retail), aviation (airports), and industrial projects (data centers, automotive facilities, etc.). With 20 to 25 years of professional experience, the incumbent is expected to bring advanced technical knowledge, strategic insight, and leadership in electrical design, ensuring projects are delivered to international standards, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, design, and development of electrical systems for complex multi-sector projects.
• Provide subject-matter expertise across high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) systems, substations, and power distribution networks.
• Develop electrical design concepts, schematic diagrams, detailed design drawings, and technical specifications.
• Conduct load calculations, power system studies, grounding and protection design, and energy efficiency assessments.
• Review and ensure compliance with local/international codes, safety standards, and project requirements (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS codes).
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, and ICT teams.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
• Supervise and mentor electrical engineers, designers, and BIM teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address design-related queries and provide technical guidance.
• Support during tendering, construction, and commissioning phases, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
• Drive innovation in design practices, integrate sustainable and smart electrical solutions, and adopt digital design tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20–25 years of experience in electrical system design across infrastructure, buildings, aviation, and industrial sectors.
• Proven track record in managing end-to-end electrical design for large-scale projects (airports, data centers, commercial and industrial developments, utilities, etc.).
• Proficient in design software such as ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant electrical simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of international and regional electrical codes and design practices.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
• Prior experience in consultancy or EPC firms will be an advantage.
