The Opportunity

At Gallagher, we’re passionate about transforming livestock management through cutting-edge technology. As we continue to expand the reach of our eShepherd™ virtual fencing solution, we’re looking for expressions of interest from capable and motivated individuals who can provide on-farm technical support and help farmers get the most out of our products.

This is a flexible, field-based role ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with technology in rural environments and is confident troubleshooting firmware and electronics issues. If you also have a knack for building relationships and identifying customer needs, there’s potential for this to evolve into a full-time technical sales role.


What You’ll be Doing

Providing on-farm technical support for eShepherd™ customers across New Zealand & Australia depending on customer needs
Troubleshooting and resolving firmware, hardware, and connectivity issues
Supporting product installations, updates, and training
Acting as a trusted technical advisor to farmers and rural contractors
Identifying opportunities for product adoption and supporting the sales team

What we're looking for:


Practical experience with electronics, firmware, or agri-tech systems
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-first mindset
Ability to travel regularly and work independently in rural settings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bonus: Experience in technical sales or rural customer engagement
