Kafka Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Kafka Developer to join our team at Sapphire Software Solutions Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and maintaining Kafka-based data streaming applications.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Kafka-based data streaming applications
• Implement and manage Kafka clusters to ensure high availability and performance
• Lead Kafka Streams implementation projects and serve as an SME for Kafka

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role
• 3+ years of hands-on experience participating in Kafka streaming implementation projects
• Extensive knowledge of Kafka implementations
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Mulesoft integration experience

This is a 3-month contract with extensions up to 6 months. The successful candidate must be available to work until 11:00 am PST to overlap with the US team.
