Staff Accountant Job Description
• Main Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Online, including cash in and cash out transactions. This involves uploading payments from customers, equity or debt investments, refunds from vendors, and payments to vendors, loans, and investments in fixed assets or other companies.

Additionally, the Staff Accountant will enter preformatted journal entry template uploads daily/weekly, focusing on sales and payroll entries. Data updates of preformatted daily reporting will also be a key responsibility, with a focus on sales analysis.

Daily Tasks:
• Manage Bank Feed, including 15+ bank accounts
• Support Email Queue, including 5+ emails
• Support CPA, including guided jobs
• Book any needed Journal Entries, focusing on sales/payroll

Weekly Tasks:
• Update preformatted reporting
• Book any needed Journal Entries, focusing on sales/payroll

Monthly Tasks:

Manage to Close Schedule, ensuring scheduled dates are met so the rest of the team can perform their tasks efficiently.

Skills Desired:
• Basics of QuickBooks Online (can be trained)
• Basics of Excel
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Proficient English or Fluent Spanish

This role offers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of accounting, focusing on cash in and cash out transactions. As you manage the small details of the organization, there is learning potential to start to manage the results of the actions, not just perform them.

By the end of the contract, the candidate will be very proficient in QuickBooks online, a popular cloud accounting software. There is also potential to move up to a Senior Accounting level, helping to train next-level staff members.

Pay Rate:

$1250 per month US, with an increase to $1500 after 3 months, paid through direct pay via Wells Fargo, which should work with most Indian banks.
