Job Summary
Spiral Marketing is seeking a Full Stack Developer with deep WordPress security expertise. In this role, you will manage the security posture of multiple WordPress sites, contribute to custom development projects, and collaborate with our remote team during U.S. Eastern Time hours.
Responsibilities
Secure, monitor, and maintain multiple WordPress websites using tools such as Wordfence, Sucuri, and Cloudflare
Develop and document repeatable SOPs for plugin updates, backups, firewalls, and security alerts
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented front-end and back-end code
Troubleshoot and resolve plugin conflicts, malware, and performance issues
Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to meet client goals
Requirements
5+ years of full stack development experience, with proven WordPress expertise
Demonstrated success in managing WordPress security, including malware removal, plugin audits, and site hardening
Proficient in PHP, WordPress, Laravel, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience with responsive frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap)
Strong written and spoken English skills
Must work full-time (40 hours/week) during U.S. Eastern Standard Time business hours
Nice to Have
Familiarity with general web application security (CDN config, HTTPS, server rules, etc.)
Experience writing SOPs, documentation, or wikis
Exposure to Make.com or Zapier for automation
Experience with Shopify, Liquid, and API integration
