Car Component Development Engineer

Bill of Materials (BOM) and Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) Engineer

Job Description:
• Create and maintain BOM and EBOM structures in Teamcenter for all car components, including chassis, engine, transmission, interior, and exterior components.
• Manage BOM and EBOM changes due to design changes, engineering changes, or supplier changes.
• Interpret intent on Engineering Change Notices and determine the appropriate structure/content of eBOMs mBOMs based on inputs.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure that all BOM and EBOM structures in Teamcenter reflect the latest design changes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure that all BOMs and EBOMs are feasible and can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 1+ year of experience in BOM and EBOM management, specifically for automotive products.
• Experience with Teamcenter software and automotive manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desired Skills:
• Experience with product configuration management.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with automotive CAD software.
