About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our growing team in Chennai. This is a full-time onsite role for professionals who are passionate about building scalable and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python development, with hands-on expertise in FastAPI and AWS. Preference will be given to candidates with a product development background and experience in web application development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Architect scalable and secure cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Work closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software
- Optimize application performance and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Ensure security and data protection in applications
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development
- Strong experience with FastAPI, including building RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
- Experience in web application development and a good understanding of frontend-backend integration
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes (nice to have)
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and agile methodologies
- Good understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience working in product-based companies
- Background in building and scaling web-based SaaS applications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
