Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure database solutions that support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Architecture & Administration:

Design and implement Vertica, MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL databases.
Optimize database performance, ensure high availability, and maintain data integrity.
Performance Tuning & Optimization:

Conduct query tuning, indexing strategies, and performance benchmarking.
Identify and resolve database bottlenecks to enhance system efficiency.
Security & Compliance:

Implement data security best practices, including encryption and access control.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks.
Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery (DR):

Develop automated backup and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure minimal downtime with high availability solutions (replication, failover).
Required Skills and Qualifications:

10 years of experience in database administration.
Expertise in Vertica, MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
Strong experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience with database security best practices.
Hands-on experience with database automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with new-age databases like Cassandra, ClickHouse, DynamoDB, or Druid.
Knowledge of containerized databases (Kubernetes, Docker).
Experience with big data processing (Spark, Kafka, Flink).
Understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies.
Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
