Job Description
Event Managers at East Meets West Catering have full ownership of their assigned events. They are team leaders who balance exceptional guest service and experiences with protecting the company's business interests.
The Event Manager controls event operations, meeting client expectations through exceptional food and stunning style & design elements. This position requires extensive food knowledge, attention to detail, organization skills, and an artistic eye for room and food station design.
Key Responsibilities
Create and execute event plans, including staff assignments; lead service, set-up, and breakdown of events; manage equipment and product inventories; accurately record staff hours; report any issues affecting event execution; participate in meetings with Chef, management, and event planners to ensure menu expectations are clear; conduct site visits and client meetings to understand event dynamics and offer suggestions for more efficient execution.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience managing off-site food & beverage events or a combination of upscale food service experience with staff supervision;

Physical Demands
The employee is required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less regularly.
Working Hours
Hours are flexible, but will include daytime meetings, evening work, weekends, and holidays. The position requires a willingness to commit to working 2-3 Saturdays in May, June, and December.
Work Authorization
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass a CORI background check. Drug-screening is required for those driving company vehicles.
