Front Desk Monitor
An ideal candidate for this role at Volunteers of America-Greater New York is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage the front desk and security operations of our East 11+th Street Veterans Residence.

This residential program provides permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless single veteran men and women, including those diagnosed with a mental illness. The successful Front Desk Monitor will be responsible for greeting visitors, assisting residents, and controlling front door access while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to assigned procedures in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet all visitors and assist them directly or announce their arrival to staff or residents.
Ensure that all clients sign in and out as required.
Route mail and deliveries as needed.
Handle or assist in crisis intervention.
Follow assigned procedures in emergency situations.
Conduct rounds at the residence as assigned.
