ShortList Recruitment are working with a fantastic FinTech company who are recruiting for a PHP Developer to join their growing team based in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in object-orientated PHP and will be responsible for helping to create industry-leading digital customer journeys across a number of core products.

The PHP Developer will be tasked with building robust web applications in Laravel to a high standard, whilst monitoring the performance of live systems and making active recommendations for improvements.

Key skills required for the PHP Developer:
• Proven commercial track record in OO PHP coding
• Experience with at least one major PHP framework (ideally Laravel)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience in writing new and existing APIs
• JavaScript
• MySQL
• SOLID design principles
• Node.js (desirable)
• Python (desirable)

In return, the successful PHP Developer will be entitled to a salary of up to £60,000 (DOE) plus a range of benefits.

The role is based in Stockport and offers hybrid working with 1 or 2 days required onsite per week. It is commutable from Manchester, Cheadle, Wythenshawe, Wilmslow and Marple.
