Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Fashion Buyer to join our team. As a Fashion Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing fashion products for our retail store, online platforms, or brand collections. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for emerging fashion trends, an understanding of customer preferences, and a passion for the fashion industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Trend Analysis & Research: Study current fashion trends, consumer demands, and market insights to identify potential products to buy.
• Vendor Management: Build relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective products are sourced.
• Product Selection: Select apparel, accessories, and footwear based on market demand, style, season, and brand guidelines.
• Stock Management: Work closely with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure timely deliveries.
• Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing, payment terms, and product quality.
• Sales & Profitability Analysis: Track sales data, evaluate the performance of purchased products, and make recommendations for adjustments to the product range.
• Collaboration: Work closely with design, marketing, and retail teams to ensure product offerings align with overall brand goals.
• Attend Fashion Shows and Trade Fairs: Participate in industry events to stay updated on new styles, designs, and upcoming trends.
Requirements:
• Freshers are encouraged to apply (no prior experience required).
• A passion for fashion, trends, and retail buying.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Basic knowledge of fashion terminology, styles, and fabric/materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
• A degree in fashion merchandising, business, or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory.
