Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Studio Director - Architect in a leadership position for our architectural studio who can oversee all aspects of project delivery, team management, and client engagement. This senior leadership role requires a visionary professional with over 15 years of experience in High-End Residential and Hospitality Design, a proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects, and a passion for driving innovation and excellence. The Studio Director will guide senior architects and their teams, ensuring that projects align with client expectations and the studio’s commitment to sustainability and design excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the studio's overall design vision, ensuring consistency with the company’s strategic goals.
• Oversee multiple architectural projects, including new builds, extensions, restorations, and conservation work, from conception to completion.
• Collaborate with senior architects to develop innovative design concepts and high-quality deliverables.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong relationships and high levels of satisfaction.
• Conduct high-level project reviews to ensure alignment with client needs, project scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Mentor and inspire senior architects and junior team members, fostering professional growth and promoting a collaborative studio environment.
• Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, and documentation to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, sustainable practices, and technological advancements, integrating them into studio practices.
• Represent the studio at industry events, contributing to its reputation as a leader in innovative and functional design
• Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in High-End Residential and/or Hospitality Design, with a strong portfolio of award-winning and large-scale projects.
• Extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing complex projects from inception to completion.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor diverse teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at presenting concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Advanced knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, 3D Max, PowerPoint, Revit, and other visualization tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Expertise in sustainable design principles and a passion for innovative architecture.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with licensure as an architect preferred.
