INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | KUWAIT

JOB DESCRIPTION

1.1 Should have good reading abilities, to go through the manuals, trouble

shoot the loops, follow all the Safety rules, takes active participation in all

Safety programs.

1.2 Should be highly Safety Conscious; obey the Safety rules of the Company.

1.3 Perform direct maintenance on pneumatic and electronic instruments and

control system.

1.4 Diagnose problems on control systems.

1.5 Perform Preventive Maintenance on control systems.

1.6 Requisition instrument spare parts.

1.7 Co-ordinate instrument repairs and test work.

1.8 Must be capable of understanding and follow technical instructions from his

senior staff.

1.+ Aware of area classifications and safety requirements.

1.10 Should have extensive knowledge on all types of smart devices of

International brands.

1.11 Should have a good knowledge on the Rotating machinery instrumentation.

2.0 QUALIFICATIONS :

2.1 Must have passed Higher Secondary School Examination (12 Years of

schooling).

2.2 Must have passed ITI or NCTVT (two years full time course) in

Instrumentation / Electronics trade.

3.0 EXPERIENCE

3.1 Have Seven (7) years of experience in the maintenance of pneumatic and

electronic instruments related to Refinery / Petrochemical.

3.2 Must have a high level of trouble shooting skill on electronic & pneumatic

instruments.

3.3 Skilled in checking, calibrating and repairing process instruments.

3.4 Capable of reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals.

3.5 Should be skilled in the use of diagnostic test equipment, hand tools etc.

3.6 Good working knowledge of all types of electronic instruments. Must be

conversant with all types of Smart Devices. Have good knowledge of DCS

Like Honeywell), PLCS, and ESD’s. Should do independent check from the

Marshalling racks
