Job Duties
This online cook up-grader program is designed to prepare individuals to challenge the cook inter provincial journey person examination. Each online lesson includes a pretest, video, workplace assessment and post test. The lessons are released two per week and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All participants have access to a virtual classroom forum with the chef instructor one afternoon per week.

Duties:
Organization and operation of a 18 week online study course for cooks wishing to challenge the Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Exam
Constant contact with, and monitoring of online students
Collection of student statistics and assessments
Reporting to students and stakeholders
Completion of the course and all assessments and grading within a timely manner
Problem solving for student issues
Instruction through online methods
Liaison with SaskPolytech Helpdesk and Learning Assistance
Liaison with Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission and Saskatchewan Health Region regarding client/employee placements in the course
Being available at various hours to respond to student concerns

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Description

Required Qualifications
Red Seal Cook Journey person
Recent contact/ experience with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship Board
Familiar with Brightspace, D2L or similar computer course delivery systems
training in adult education and training
